A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, Chris Gegax graduated from Minneapolis Community College's Filmmaking Program then moved to Los Angeles to work for RB Davies, Inc., a production company that produced electronic press kits for films like "Tango and Cash" and "Dolores Claiborne."
Gegax went on to work in development at Orion Pictures under Director David Anspaugh ("Hoosiers," "Rudy"). Upon returning to Minnesota he began making videos and in 2001 he founded Signal Video Productions.
His short film, “Forgotten,” was awarded best film in Screenwriters’ Workshop’s 2007 ScreenLabs Challenge. Gegax lives in Minneapolis.
